Children go wild about author’s visit

A CHILDREN’S author has visited a York primary school to talk to the children about imaginary lands.

Robert Bullock visited Clifton with Rawcliffe Infant Site School and led lessons with the children outdoors in the school wildlife area.

They were then helped to write their own story.

Vicky Ross, a class teacher, said: “It was wonderful to see the ideas that Mr Bullock drew out of the children and gave them the opportunity to show how creative they are”.

The event was one of the last events before the Clifton with Rawcliffe Infant site closes prior to the move to its new purpose-built school. The school is holding an open afternoon for all past pupils and staff on Thursday, June 9, from 2pm to 4.30pm. Phone 01904 624772 if you would like to attend.
